How KCR treats Indians and foreigners

Abdul Qahar (18), an Afghani national was injured in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in his home country a couple of years back.

A bullet shattered his hip completely necessitating a replacement. After finding no assistance back home, he came to India for treatment at Gandhi Hospital, Hyderabad in January this year for free treatment.

Since the surgery costed around Rs 1.35 lakh, the Afghani was not in a position to afford it. KCR immediately sanctioned the funds and the Afghani was operated upon successfully recently. In 2015, KCR had announced Rs 30 lakh to recipients of Sena awards.

In a head-on combat with two terrorists, Major Ravi Kumar of Assam Rifles, hailing from Malkajgiri, Hyderabad displayed exceptional bravery and shot one of them. The other terrorist took protection in a cattle shed and began firing indiscriminately.

Ravi Kumar, though being injured in his left arm did not give up. The citation given to Ravi Kumar indicates he kept awake throughout the night determined not to allow the holed-up terrorist escape.

It was only at 11.30 am, the next day that a determined Ravi Kumar could take a shot at the terrorist and kill him. His bravery was described as `exemplary and inspirational' in the citation.

While KCR announced the award in 2015, to date, Ravi Kumar has got only around Rs 24,000 approximately. Maybe, he should have been born in Afghanistan.
