![How About A Survey On This Media Survey?](https://www.greatandhra.com/newphotos9/ga_politics1611037702.jpeg)
The “flash survey” conducted by Andhra Jyothy projecting bright prospects for the ruling Telugu Desam Party and dwindling chances for YSR Congress party to come to power if mid-term elections are held to Andhra Pradesh assembly now did not come as a surprise at all.
The flash survey predicted that if elections are held now, the TDP would get 120 seats and the YSR Congress party would end up with 50-52 assembly seats.
It also went on to say that the TDP would fare better if it does not have alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party. It gave marginal improvement in the vote bank of the Congress and only 4 per cent of votes for the Jana Sena Party floated by power star Pavan Kalyan.
Well, nobody would have expected that Andhra Jyothy would predict the fall of the TDP government and victory for the YSR Congress party, since the managing director Andhra Jyothy Vemuri Radhakrishna is a known follower of TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
So, the survey lacks absolute credibility. And it is also true that if Sakshi were to conduct a similar flash survey, the outcome would be vice versa, since it cannot predict Jaganmohan Reddy losing the elections.
Even before Andhra Jyothy published the survey, its outcome did rounds in the social media. And one gentleman suggested that it would be better if one conducts an independent survey on these so-called media surveys to show how far people would believe them. Good idea!
