
Directing the Centre to allocate funds for construction of a separate High Court building for Andhra Pradesh State in its own region, Hyderabad High Court today clarified that the existing High Court does not belong to Andhra Pradesh.
The High Court today stated that the existing premises belongs to Telangana State only and Andhra Pradesh government has nothing to do with it.
The division of this court will be done only after construction of a separate building for AP High Court in that State, the court stated.
Meanwhile, the present High Court building can be used jointly by Telangana Government as well as Andhra Pradesh Government.
The AP can make use of the existing court until it gets own High Court in its region, the court observed.
It also stated that the Andhra Pradesh Government can go in for setting up HC benches in Guntur and Tirupati if necessary.
