![Has Jagan Sidelined The Former Minister?](https://www.greatandhra.com/newphotos10/anilkumar31739671939.jpg)
YCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy seems determined to sideline leaders who have become a burden to the party.
As part of this strategy, there is widespread discussion that former minister Anil Kumar Yadav has been sidelined for causing damage to the party.
Anil won twice as a YSRCP candidate from Nellore City. However, due to strong anti-incumbency against him in the 2024 elections, the party fielded him from Narasaraopet Parliament constituency, where he lost to Lavu Krishnadevarayalu.
After enjoying a significant role in the YSRCP government, Anil Kumar Yadav has remained silent for some time.
His absence has become a talking point among YSRCP leaders, who are wondering where he is. Jagan has entrusted the responsibility of YSRCP activities in Nellore City to MLC Chandrasekhar Reddy.
Since taking over, Chandrasekhar Reddy has been actively conducting party meetings and energizing the YSRCP cadre in Nellore. He is quietly strengthening the party at the grassroots level.
Meanwhile, no one seems to know where Anil Kumar Yadav is. He is also known to have strained relations with Nellore district YSRCP president Kakani Govardhan Reddy.
During the elections, there were allegations that Anil played a conspiratorial role in Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and his wife’s decision to leave YSRCP. Complaints against Anil, stating that his actions caused irreparable damage to the party, have reached Jagan.
As a result, YSRCP leaders suggested to Jagan that Anil brings more political harm than benefit to the party.
Given this backdrop, Chandrasekhar Reddy has been given full charge of Nellore City and is actively working on strengthening the party. Within the YSRCP Nellore unit, there is a growing belief that "anyone is better than Anil."
It remains to be seen how the party will utilize Anil Kumar Yadav in the future.
