Governor E S L Narasimhan, who had opposed the bifurcation of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh in the past, is now said to be showing soft corner towards Telangana.
Though he is the Governor of both Telangana and AP, Narasimhan is said to be favourable to the Telangana State. And Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao is meeting the Governor more frequently than his AP counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu and is putting forth his view point firmly. And Narasimhan, too, is entertaining KCR more than Naidu.
On Saturday, KCR called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan again and reportedly discussed the issues related to PPAs cancellation and Polavaram Ordinance, taking up of new irrigation projects, completion of old ones. The Chief Minister is learnt to have sought Narsimhan’s advice on the key issues to be taken up with the Centre.
It is learnt that the Chief Minister brought to the notice of the Governor about the attitude of his AP counterpart N. Chandrababu Naidu with regard to deliberate attempt to put Telangana government and people in a fix over the power issue.
Besides, Naidu forced the Centre to issue an Ordinance allotting seven tribal mandals to the residuary Andhra Pradesh at the behest of Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu.
