Telangana Irrigation Minister, Harish Rao got the shock of his life when he met Union Minister for Electricity, Piyush Goyal.
Harish Rao and his delegation met Goyal and as is usual began their diatribe against Andhra Pradesh.
Harish Rao complained that Telangana was not getting its due share of electricity from Andhra Pradesh.
He also reminded the Minister, of Telangana’s request for an additional 500 MW of power supply from the Center and also requested the Center to interfere in the controversies between the two States. However Goyal made it absolutely clear that there was nothing the Center could do to intervene.
“Telangana and Andhra should stop their dirty politics first. Until you stop your political games, there is nothing we can do. Why can’t the Chief Ministers of both States sit down and resolve the issues?” questioned Goyal.
He also flatly denied Harish Rao’s request for additional power supply saying that it was untenable at the moment.
Poor Harish Rao! He went to Goyal to ask for 'Power'. Instead Goyal showed him his power!
