Provident Fund is an excellent saving method for employees everywhere. However there have been many instances where companies used to deduct PF from the salaries of the employees but did not disburse it to the government.
A new initiative is about to put paid to all such misdemeanors. From the 16th of this month, employees with their UAN number can log on to the PF website and check for themselves whether their PF is being credited regularly or not.
The website will be inaugurated by Narendra Modi on the 16th of this month and is expected to carry a database of nearly 4.18 crore employees.
Such transparency is surely a boon to employees and is a good initiative indeed!
