“You have given the Congress 30 years. Give us at least 15 years for us to rid the country of its evils,” said Venkayya Naidu at a function in Vizag.
Even after the BJP has come to power and Venkayya Naidu rewarded with a berth in the Union Cabinet although an insignificant one, he still seems to be in a campaign mood.
That is understandable for apart from flying over to Andhra Pradesh every time that he feels like getting facilitated, there is precious little that Venkayya Naidu, an Andhra person seems to be doing for the State or the nation for that matter.
Venkayya should also realize that the people will definitely vote the BJP to power again even if they fulfill an iota of what they have promised the people. But Venkayya Naidu is himself a classic example of opportunistic politics.
In order to get the Seemandhra people to accept the bifurcation bill passed in Parliament, he promised ‘special status’ to the State.
Now, he is saying something different! Having forgotten such an important promise made to the people within such a short period of six months, with what dignity is Venkayya asking the people for a period of fifteen years in power?
Get us the promised special status Venkayya and prove your credibility first! You can ask for fifteen or a hundred years later!
