Former Minister Avanti Srinivas, who has been active in Visakhapatnam district politics since 2009, is experiencing an unusual phase after the 2024 elections.
For the first time in his career, he has faced electoral defeat.
Until before, his political journey had been smooth, marked by three consecutive victories and positions in three different parties. He even achieved his long-cherished goal of becoming a minister.
However, with this setback, his 15-year political run has come to a standstill.
Following his defeat, Avanti bid farewell to the YSRCP and is now patiently waiting for the right political opportunity.
With more than four years left until the next elections, he has shifted his focus entirely to his educational institutions, dedicating all his time to their management.
This can be seen as a temporary break from politics. If the restructuring of assembly constituencies takes place before the next elections, Avanti might get a chance to contest from a party of his choice.
Otherwise, political inactivity may force him to continue focusing solely on his educational ventures.
