Telangana Congress leader T Jeevan Reddy on Thursday criticized Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for taking up air tour frequently by ignoring the drought problem in the State.
Talking to media persons at Congress Legislature Party office here on Thursday, Jeevan Reddy accused the Chief Minister of being unmindful of the plight of farmers and people, who are caught in the web of drought and power shortage.
He ridiculed the Chief Minister for indulging in continuous air trips for land ‘hunt’ at various districts while at ground level, the condition of the people was bad.
KCR’s plan to build ‘castles in the air’ will not be beneficial to poor, who want timely supply of essential commodities and pensions, he said.
The Government should provide ration cards and pensions to all the eligible persons, he demanded.
The poor and the deprived classes may revolt against the government if it fails to address their needs, he warned. The Congress leader demanded that the TRS Government focus on welfare of the poor and farmers.
