There was a time when the young turks of Congress including the likes of Sachin Pilot, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Milind Deora among others were known to hang out within the Parliament and socially as most of them were elected the same year to the Parliament or went to the same schools, institutions, etc. Their tales of camaraderie were well known in New Delhi’s power circles.
Now, a similar ‘ginger group’ as they are being called has emerged within BJP. The enthusiastic bunch of first-time Parliamentarians meet at the Central Hall to bond and exchange notes.
Well, they also do decide their strategy within the House. It is said that late Pramod Mahajan’s daughter Poonam is the most active member of the group.
It took Prime Minister Modi to hush the BJP first-timers when Congress members stormed the House holding black bands over their mouth. But it is being said that the bunch are now preparing to show their spirit during the crucial budget session.
