Fast Forward Button Pressed On Telangana

Brushing aside the bitter division among the parties in Andhra Pradesh, the UPA government has pressed the fast forward button on the bifurcation process.

The political activity over state's division has gained momentum, both in Hyderabad and in New Delhi.

AICC General Secretary in-charge of state affairs Digvijay Singh is working on the report to be submitted to the Group of Ministers (GoM) by the PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana who will be reaching Delhi on Tuesday.

As part of this exercise, Digvijay held parleys with Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramachandra Rao and Union minister of state JD Seelam.

It is being interpreted that KVP represented the MPs of the party and Seelam met Digvijay on behalf of the Union ministers from Andhra Pradesh.

After firming up the report, Digvijay may send the report to the GoM after calling on Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

APCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana will submit the party’s report to the GoM on the Telangana issue.

It is already known that the Seemandhra Congress leaders will send a single-line resolution asking the Centre to keep the state united.

Telangana Congress leaders will give a detailed report incorporating their opinions on the 11 issues flagged by the GoM in its letter inviting parties to take part in an all-party meeting.

The process for formation of Telangana state is now irrevocable, despite the divided opinion among the major parties in the state.
