Farmers Clash As NTR Looks On!

Placards of the legendary actor NT Rama Rao were silent witnesses to a clash between his fans themselves over the land pooling issue.

The incident happened at ‘Krishnayapalem village’ of ‘Mangalagiri Mandal’. Minister Narayana had come there to convince the villagers to give up their lands for the new capital, but in vain.

Interestingly, the farmers who were in support of the land pooling system all happened to be from the ‘Kamma community’ whereas the rest of the farmers were against land pooling.

Both set of farmers belong to TDP and are fans of NTR. They came to the venue with cutouts of NTR.

The farmers against land pooling say that there is absolutely no clarity on ‘compensation, employment, land allotment, social security, houses and other facilities’ in form 9.3 being distributed by the CRDA. They also said that barring the 10 farmers from the Kamma community in the village, 120 out of 130 farmers were opposed to land acquisition.

As things got heated, a scuffle broke out among the farmers in support of land pooling and those opposing it. The police stopped the incident from getting out of hand and Minister Narayana was whisked away to safety.

“We truly repent having voted for the TDP now,” said the anti-land pooling farmers.
