Chandrababu Naidu has apparently given instructions to his cabinet to counter the YSRCP propaganda regarding the 'call money' scam.
He wants the TDP leaders to convince the people that more number of YSRCP leaders are involved in the racket than TDP leaders.
As part of trying to implicate the YSRCP in the ‘call money scam’, the issue is being turned into a state issue and a crackdown is taking place on small moneylenders all across the state. This is not the true story!
‘Call Money’ scandal is related to the inhuman exploitation of women and restricted to Vijayawada.
How are small moneylenders in the rest of the state connected with this? They may be charging very high rates of interests but sexual exploitation or rape does not figure in this at all. And there is a side-effect to this policy of Chandrababu.
Thanks to his unfulfilled promise of loan waiver, farmers are not getting loans from banks anymore. So, they have no other option but to approach moneylenders for meeting their needs.
Now these raids on moneylenders have deprived the farmers of their only remaining source of finance. How long can Mother Earth bear the burden of these sins?
