Senior leader Harirama Jogayya has resigned from the YSR Congress Party.
Outlining his reasons behind quitting Jagan’s Party, Jogayya said, “There is no value for people’s opinion in this Party. Jagan treats the Party like a pocket in his shirt, a personal organization instead of one that is a reflection of public opinion.”
Finally, Jogayya has quit this Party as well after stints with the TDP, Congress and Praja Rajyam. But analysts question as to whether he was not aware of the fact that YSRCP was established by Jagan before joining it.
Jogayya’s political foray started with the Congress before he moved on to the TDP where he had a glittering period. He came out of the TDP following the murder of Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga Rao.
He went back to the Congress and even served as Minister before quitting and joining the BJP.
He went back to the Congress again and became an MP before joining the Praja Rajyam Party. During his time in Praja Rajyam, he was an outspoken critic of Dr. YS Rajsekhar Reddy. Following the death of YSR, he joined YSRCP.
Now, on the verge of an almost complete retirement from politics, it would be interesting to see which Party Jogayya joins!
