![Fact Sheet: Some Kinda Joke!](https://www.greatandhra.com/newphotos9/ga_politics1611037702.jpeg)
India has always been a land of contradictions. For example, we condemn corruption and bribery in public, yet espouse it in private life.
With countries across the globe gearing up for the crucial Paris climate summit, India on Thursday launched a massive awareness drive on the issue by flagging off a `Science Express Climate Action Special' train possibly the world's first and largest on-wheel mass education programme on the subject.
The 16-coach train will travel across the country for the next seven months to spread awareness on global warming and measures which are being taken at local and national levels to tackle the threat of climate change.
Ironically, at the same time, the Chief Minister of AP is showing scant disregard for the National Green Tribunal and the environment by going ahead with his plans for a new capital for his community on 33000 acres of land forcibly acquired from farmers.
Although environmental experts have warned of the serious blow to the ecology, food security and diversity of the region, Naidu is in no mood to pay heed to their counsel.
The Union Government is also turning a blind eye to the proceedings. Yet, it chooses to launch an awareness drive on climate change. What a joke!
