Following his announcement, there was a revelation from Delhi that his wife had received over Rs 1400 crore from various sources a few months ago.
The top BJP leadership in Delhi issued a warning to Pawan Kalyan, indicating that he might face scrutiny over this amount if he severs ties with the BJP for the upcoming general election.
This development prompted him to release a fresh statement affirming his alliance with the NDA, denying any withdrawal from it.
Initially, in Pedana of Krishna district, Pawan Kalyan stated that he had ended his alliance with the BJP and joined forces with the TDP. However, within 24 hours, he clarified that his statement had been misinterpreted by the media, reiterating his commitment to the NDA.
Following this clarification, Pawan Kalyan proceeded to Italy, discontinuing his Varahi yatra in the state. The timing of his return to active politics and whether he will maintain his alliance with the BJP or join forces with the TDP remain uncertain.
