While Naidu’s electoral alliance with the BJP would give him a lot of clout at the Centre should the NDA come to power, it could have an equally adverse impact on the political career of Jagan.
So, Jagan is making his moves as a possible counter to Naidu and as part of that, met Sharad Yadav of the JD (U).
Reportedly, Sharad Yadav is contemplating a third front comprising of 11 non-Congress and non-BJP affiliated parties.
While Jagan has not yet been officially invited to be part of the proposed third front, should it materialize, then the fight would be between Modi led NDA and the Third Front which could include Nitish Kumar and Mamata Banerjee along with Mulayam Singh Yadav and Jayalalitha.
These personalities would make it a formidable third front indeed and if Jagan were to be part of it, he could emerge as a powerful figure at the Centre.
Who will emerge winner in this game of politics? Only time will tell!
