People dying of an epidemic in a city in 2015! Sad, but true! and what's more, the authorities continue to make little headway in identifying the reasons for the scourge that is 'Swine flu'.
The health authorities initially said that the increase in temperatures will see a decline in the potency of the H1N1 virus.
As if to mock them, 198 positive cases have been detected in Hyderabad in the last week alone with seven falling victim.
The 'Institute of Preventive Medicine', Hyderabad has given up. in response to an RTI query, they replied that they were unaware of the reason for the rise in cases and did not have the expertise to detect whether the nature of the virus has changed.
It is not their fault either for the national labs working under the Union Health Ministry have been unable to come up with a solution, so far. But where does that leave the common man?
When the going gets tough in the material world, the common man tends to seek succor in the spiritual. It is time for him to tread this path once again, at least as far as Swine Flu is concerned.
