Recently, veteran director Dasari Narayana Rao turned 70. Given that he hasn’t directed a film in two years and due to his name being involved in the Coal scam, Dasari was in no mood to celebrate in a big way.
His last film with Balakrishna, Parama Veera Chakra has been declared one of the worst films in Telugu cinema. Little wonder that he did not want to throw a party. But his followers got together and celebrated the day for him.
Though Dasari is putting up a brave face, many say he has been distraught after his name got out in the scam. Till he is given a clean chit by the government, he is in no position to face the industry, say industry insiders.
