Are the majority of people in Telangana really favoring a separate state or do they want to stay united with their Seemandhra brethren?
There may be quite a huge number of people in Telangana who are in favor of a united state, but who are afraid to speak out for fear of retribution from KCR and his leaders.
In this context, the call of Kiran Kumar to the Center to wait until the 2014 elections are over is an apt solution to the current crisis.
If people of Telangana vote overwhelmingly in favor of a separate state, then it is inevitable.
However, if they vote for parties other than the TRS, it would clearly be a vote in favor of a united state.
As such Kiran summed it up perfectly when he asked the ultimate decision to be left to the people.
