Hyderabad: The Congress Party in Telangana is considering moving a no-confidence motion against the TRS government. Ironically, the inspiration for such a move comes from neighboring Andhra Pradesh where the YSRCP had moved one such motion against the TDP.
While it is understandable that the YSRCP did so because of innumerable misdeeds of the TDP and a significant presence of the YSRCP in the Assembly, the Telangana Assembly is completely one-sided in favor of KCR.
Besides, the Congress intends to make the ‘defections’ to the TRS, the key issue during the debate. It would only be a futile exercise. Such motions should be moved from a position of strength, not weakness.
And given that the T-Assembly Speaker Madhusudhana Chary much like his AP counterpart, Kodela Siva Prasada Rao is biased towards the ruling part, one cannot hope for fair play in the Assembly.
