The expulsion of six Congress MPs from the party on disciplinary grounds would not have any impact on the party, which had good number of leaders.
This was stated by Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Tuesday.
He condemned the comments made by some party leaders that the Congress would not retain leaders if disciplinary action is taken against them.
He said the party top brass had taken disciplinary action against the six MPs for trying to topple the government.
However, that will not have any effect on the leaders who may be free to revolt on Telangana Bill, he said.
Even now the leaders of Seemandhra and Telangana could express their aspirations against and for Telangana. Suspension of the leaders may not douse the intensity of the Seemandhra protest, he opined.
Only leaders seeking political mileage were resorting to false allegations on the Congress, he said.
He flayed them for making useless comments with a plan to switch over to other parties. “Let them go to any party, we are not bothered as we the Congress have our own strength,” he remarked.
