The “Jai Jana Sena” slogan raised by megastar Chiranjeevi at the pre-release event of Vishwak Sen’s Laila in Hyderabad on Sunday night has triggered a debate in political circles.
While speaking at the event, Chiranjeevi mentioned that he had known Vishwak Sen’s father, Karate Raju, for many years.
“Raju was associated with the Praja Rajyam Party for quite some time. Now, Praja Rajyam has transformed into Jana Sena,” Chiranjeevi remarked.
Expressing happiness over Jana Sena’s growth into a formidable political force, the megastar raised the slogan: “Jai Jana Sena!”
This statement has sparked widespread discussions.
While BJP leaders have been trying to bring Chiranjeevi into their fold, his remark linking Praja Rajyam to Jana Sena has fueled talk of new political equations.
So far, Chiranjeevi has not publicly aligned himself with Jana Sena, though he has openly supported his brother Pawan Kalyan.
Before the elections, he donated Rs 5 crore to Jana Sena’s party fund but refrained from active involvement.
Though Chiranjeevi has occasionally expressed support for his younger brother, he neither issued a public statement endorsing Pawan’s candidacy in Pithapuram nor campaigned for him. However, after Pawan’s victory, Chiranjeevi welcomed him with a grand celebration.
At Pawan’s swearing-in ceremony, both brothers stood alongside Prime Minister Modi, raising their hands together in a symbolic gesture.
Following this, BJP leaders intensified their efforts to bring Chiranjeevi into their ranks, though he has remained silent about his political intentions. Pawan Kalyan has also never commented on his brother’s political future.
Chiranjeevi’s recent statement that Praja Rajyam is now Jana Sena hints at a larger strategy.
Many former Praja Rajyam leaders have since joined different parties or distanced themselves from politics. Analysts believe this could be an attempt by Chiranjeevi to bring them back to Jana Sena.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan, now part of the ruling alliance, is focusing on strengthening his party.
Sources indicate that the BJP leadership in Delhi is in touch with both Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan, with proposals to offer Chiranjeevi a significant role if he agrees.
Against this backdrop, Chiranjeevi’s latest slogan in support of Jana Sena has further intensified political speculation.
