Former Mahabubnagar MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy resigned from BJP on Monday. Yennem who lost 2014 election to TRS candidate V Srinivas Goud, has been keeping away from the BJP activities for the last few months.
He has been not in good terms with Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy. Yennem is upset that Kishan Reddy was deliberately neglecting them and not even informing about the party activists.
Yennem along with other senior BJP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy have launched an independent forum "Bachoa Telangana" (Save Telangana) and attacking TRS government for its failure on delivering poll promises. The wedge between Yennem and Kishan Reddy further widened after this.
Kishan Reddy has been opposing Bachao Telangana forum within BJP and asked both the leaders to abstain from such activities while continuing in BJP. Angered at this, Yennem decided to quit BJP.
Seems, Nagam too will follow suit and quit BJP very soon.
Yennem won from Mahabubnagar Assembly seat in 2012 bypoll and played an active during Telangana statehood agitation.
