Congressman and former Vijayawada Central MLA, Malladi Vishnu might soon join the YSRCP. Vishnu is reportedly disappointed with the fact that people are least bothered about the Congress despite launching many agitations in the new State.
Along with Vishnu, there are many Congressmen who are actually admirers of YSR. But they could not get along with Jagan because the latter came across as a brash young man.
But in recent times, Jagan has transformed himself in the best interests of the Party and is now trying to be a more open and inclusive leader.
Jagan has given the green signal for Vishnu’s entry into the YSRCP. Vishnu’s entry will affect the prospects of Gowtham Reddy who had already contested and lost from Vijayawada Central.
But he has been convinced to let go his aspirations in favor of Vishnu as there is a sizeable Brahmin population in Vijayawada Central and Vishnu is a Brahmin.
Vishnu was also an extremely good friend of the slain Kapu leader Vangaveeti Ranga, whose son Radhakrishna is also currently in the YSRCP.
