It was not just the students who were hopeful of a brighter future with the formation of Telangana; even prisoners lodged across various jails in Telangana looked forward to the creation of a separate State.
KCR had promised during the agitation that prisoners with good conduct would be set free once Telangana came into being. But not even a single prisoner was released last year and another Independence Day is approaching.
TDP MLA, Revanth Reddy has now given a political twist to this issue by writing to KCR, asking him to release prisoners with a good behavior record while in jail.
Thanks to this initiative of Revanth, rapists and murderers with exemplary behavior in jail might walk free soon.
