It looks like the Telangana Telugu Desam Party leaders are losing hope on their party president N Chandrababu Naidu who has been changing colours like a chameleon on the Telangana issue with every passing day.
TDP Telangana Forum leader Erraballi Dayanakar Rao on Tuesday admitted that he was worried about the pressure being mounted by the Seemandhra leaders on Chandrababu Naidu.
“I strongly desire that Naidu would not retract on the issue of bifurcation. He has to respect the sentiments of the people of Telangana,” he said, adding that it was not proper for the TDP Seemandhra leaders to meet the President in support of Samaikhyandhra.
Meanwhile, TDP Telangana leaders held a meeting at NTR Trust Bhavan in the morning and came to a conclusion that the party should stand by the letter submitted to Pranab Mukherjee in 2008.
The TDP Telangana leaders also today sought a meeting with the President. But, the President’s office reported to turned down their request. Now the TDP Telangana leaders were planning to go to Delhi to meet the President.
