Former PCC chief and MLC D Srinivas on Sunday attacked Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for repeatedly defying Sonia Gandhi over the Congress party conceding statehood for Telangana region.
Srinivas told media that while Telangana Rashtra Samithi supremo K Chandrasekhara Rao had high respect for Sonia Gandhi, power-drunk Kiran was not caring the Congress president, who nominated him for the Chief Ministership.
Slamming Kiran for defying Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, he demanded that the former immediately resign from his post and cross swords with the Congress high command.
Stating that Sonia Gandhi had taken the decision to bifurcate the State in 2009 even before installing Kiran Kumar Reddy as Chief Minister. DS said KCR had high regard for Sonia Gandhi and is very close to the Congress party.
He also suggested to the Seemandhra leaders to accept the reality and divert their attention for getting a good package for their region.
