In a completely new twist to the Pawan Kalyan-TDP face-off regarding land acquisition, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has issued directives to his ministers and MLAs not to criticise Pawan Kalyan.
He said that while it could be true that some farmers might have approached Pawan with their problems, Pawan could have tweeted keeping their interests in mind.
Babu said that Pawan's tweets must be taken with a positive attitude and added that he will personally talk to Pawan on the matter.
At the party's meeting, Chandra Babu made these comments as Pawan is expected to tour villages of Penumaka, Bethapudi and Undavalli on Sunday. Naturally, Babu's comments have become the new topic of conversation among political circles.
Meanwhile, the party leaders also tried to reach a consensus regarding the issue of making TDP into a national-level party. To this affect, some members suggested that the party must change its name to project themselves better on an all-India level. On the other hand, many others felt that a change of name would dissolve the very identity of the party.
