Popular Telugu actor and politician Pawan Kalyan on Saturday met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and his son and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Working President K T Rama Rao.
The Jana Sena leader talked with KCR and KTR during an At Home hosted by Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on the occasion of Republic Day.
The meeting triggered speculation in the political circles in view of the ensuing elections to the Andhra Pradesh assembly and the Lok Sabha.
The development is significant in the wake of KCR's plans to play a key role in Andhra Pradesh politics to damage the prospects of ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) by isolating it.
Pawan sat next to KCR and also sat next to KTR and was seen seriously holding discussions with them.
KCR, KTR too were seen talking with Pawan more than anyone else. TRS leaders and officials who were present there gave 'leaks' to media what trasnspired between them later.
They said both KCR and KTR cautioned Pawan against giving any public statements in haste which will only benefit TDP chief and AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu in upcoming AP Assembly polls.
They referred to recent statement of Pawan who said that TRS and YSRCP joined hands only to take revenge on Naidu.
They told Pawan that such hasty statments was giving scope for Naidu and TDP leaders to flare up "Andhra sentiment" which would benefit TDP in elections.
Pawan too is learnt to have told them that he too received similar feedback from various quarters and said it was a slip of tongue.
KCR and KTR advised Pawan to work with YSRCP to put up a united fight against TDP and avoid splitting of anti-TDP votes. They said if votes are split, it would damage Jana Sena and YSRCP.
While leaving the venue, Pawan gave a warm handshake to KCR. Pawan also hugged KTR before his departure.
