TTDP leaders especially from Hyderabad are bringing pressure on AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu not to attend Aayutha Chandi Maha Yadam being performed by Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao from December 23 to 27 at his farmhouse.
Naidu has agreed to attend the yagam on the last day on December 27, when KCR invited him by flying down to Vijayawada recently.
TTDP leaders opine that the videos and pictures showing bonhomie between KCR and Naidu since Amaravati function were causing immense harm to TDP prospects in GHMC elections and indirectly benefiting TRS.
They say KCR and TRS are trying to use these videos and pictures to get closer to Seemandhra voters in GHMC limits, who constitute a large chunk of voters.
They said KCR had cleverly laid a trap to damage TDP in GHMC elections and Naidu fell in this trap easily.
TTDP leaders brought to the notice of Naidu that his bonhomie with KCR has been giving favorable indications for Seemandhra voters in Hyderabad towards KCR and TRS and requested him not to attend Chandi Yagam to put a fullstop to this bonhomie episode.
They told Naidu that they are not in a position to take on KCR and his family members politically when their bonhomie pictures and videos are doing the rounds in media.
They informed Naidu and Lokesh that at a time when TRS has been on a mission to empty TDP in GHMC limits and Telangana by encouraging defections from TDP to TRS, the time has come for TDP leadership too to act tough against KCR and TRS to put a decent fight in GHMC polls.
