Does Reddy's arrest indicates BRS-BJP match fixing?

Newly appointed BJP Telangana president and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy was arrested by the Cyberabad police in Hyderabad on Thursday when he attempted to proceed to Batasingaram to inspect the under-construction 2BHK houses being built by the BRS government for poorer sections.

A high drama unfolded during Kishan Reddy's arrest, triggering speculations that his arrest was, in fact, a drama enacted by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao as part of a 'match-fixing' between BRS and BJP.

The aim was to project a wrong picture that the 'political war' in Telangana was between BRS and BJP, not between BRS and Congress.

After Congress won the Karnataka Assembly polls in May, the Congress's popularity in Telangana rose phenomenally, with more and more leaders from other parties joining the Congress. The BJP is seen nowhere in the picture.

BRS and BJP leaderships are worried about Congress bouncing back in Telangana and are rumored to have entered into a 'secret understanding' again to prevent Congress from coming to power in the upcoming Assembly polls scheduled for December this year.

If not, what would be the reason for the KCR government deploying hundreds of policemen from Shamshabad airport to Batasingaram and setting up police check posts on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway on Hyderabad outskirts to prevent Kishan Reddy from visiting the 2BHK project?

The 2BHK project for the poor has been the main poll promise of KCR in the 2014 and 2018 Assembly polls, and it's a fact that he failed to deliver on this even after nearly ten years. This issue is not new and has been long pending.

There is no valid reason for the KCR government to deploy heavy police force to obstruct Kishan Reddy, and there is no valid reason for Kishan Reddy to suddenly make this 2BHK project a major issue and get arrested.

This has triggered speculations that BRS and BJP tried to project themselves as the prime political rivals in Telangana by enacting this 2BHK drama, and Congress is not in the picture.

It has also created a buzz in political circles that KCR is attempting to raise BJP's popularity again to check the rise of Congress in Telangana.
