Telugu Desam Party general secretary and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s son Lokesh seems to be finding it really tough to face students, who are posing him embarrassing questions pushing him into tight spot.
During his interaction with students of Chadalavada Ramanamma Engineering College at Tirupati on Thursday, a girl student asked Lokesh as to whether his father Chandrababu Naidu had guts to do away with reservations.
“We have seen Prime Minister Narendra Modi taking a bold decision on banning 500 and 1000 rupee notes. Does our Chief Minister have the same courage to lift reservation system?” she asked.
Stumped by the student’s question, Lokesh sought to divert the issue saying though it was Modi’s decision, it was Naidu who had first suggested to the Prime Minister to do away with big currency notes.
He is now taking all steps to ensure that as many notes of lower denominations as possible are available to the people.
When the girl insisted on the reservations, Lokesh said it was a very sensitive issue which needed a nation-wide debate.
“We cannot take decisions just like that. At present, there are no reservations in private sector. Why don’t you focus on getting jobs there?” he asked.
