After losing the legal battle for extension of his service, the recently retired Director General of Police V Dinesh Reddy has now turned his ire against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
The eccentric cop made serious allegations against the Chief Minister, accusing him of “betrayal” after promising to give him extension.
The timing of the ex-DGP’s personal attack on Chief Minister is curious in the wake of speculation that he might join politics in near future.
“Kiran Kumar Reddy does not want Telangana state to become a reality. He had asked him to rake up Naxalite issue and claim that Maoist activity will increase in the event of the bifurcation of the state,” Dinesh said.
He alleged that there was a “conspiracy” behind the raw treatment meted out to him and the denial of service extension.
“The Chief Minister is personally involved in the conspiracy against me. I do not know why I was targeted like this. Just two days before my retirement, the GO was issued,” he said.
The former DGP also alleged that the Chief Minister’s brother had put pressure on him with regard to certain illegal land deals on the city outskirts. He also accused the Chief Minister of “pursuing his personal agenda”.
