Even as outgoing Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is struggling to find supporters for his proposed new political party, the Congress high command has started playing mind game with him in an obvious attempt to demoralize him.
AICC in-charge of Andhra affairs Digvijay Singh on Monday sought to confuse Kiran and his supporters saying the party had never wanted to disassociate him.
Showering praises on Kiran as an efficient leader, he said: “as Assembly Speaker and Chief Minister, Kiran had done a good job. It was unfortunate that he had quit the party,” he said.
Stating that Kiran and his father had been loyal to the Congress party, Digvijay said if Kiran wanted to come back into the Congress fold, he was very much welcome.
“We are ready to take him back into the party. We have also kept our doors open for the expelled MPs. If they want to return to the party, we will consider their request,” he said.
