Did Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu try for pulling down the TRS government within days of formation of Telangana and merger of both the Telugu states again?
The answer is yes, according to Telangana chief minister and TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao.
While admitting senior Congress leaders into the TRS on Wednesday, KCR said: “I want to disclose some sensational things now. Soon after 2014 assembly elections, in which the TRS got 63 seats, which was just three more than the absolute majority, Chandrababu Naidu hatched a conspiracy. He wanted to prevent the TRS from forming the government by joining hands with the Congress and the BJP. However, the intelligence officials alerted me and the MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi came forward to support me,” he said.
KCR also pointed out that Naidu had also planned merger of Telangana and Andhra once again.
“He openly claimed a number of times that both the Telugu states would be united once again, just as East and West Germany got united by demolishing Berlin wall. He still says Telugu people would get united once again one day or the other. This clearly shows his intention to merge both the Telugu states again. That is why, I have been admitting leaders from other parties as part of reunification of pro-Telangana forces,” he said.
