Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, by getting his resolution adopted in the Assembly through voice vote, has come out with a smile of victory on his face.
The Seemandhra leaders have already started describing as “Samaikyandhra Simham.” And Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal lauded him saying Kiran had really hit a sixer at the high command.
However, there are still apprehensions as to whether Kiran really emerged as champion of Samaikyandhra or just enacted the high command drama.
“When there are no balls from the Centre, how can he hit a sixer? It is a big joke,” an analyst observed.
If the Chief Minister really had his way, he would have forced the Speaker to put the Telangana bill for voting rather than his own resolution.
By seeing that the Telangana bill debate went on smoothly, Kiran has indirectly helped the Centre. His resolution rejecting the bill after the completion of debate on the bill does not have any impact, analysts said.
