Former minister Dharmana Prasada Rao is likely to join the Telugu Desam Party, as he failed to get a nod from YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to join the latter.
According to former minister Gunda Appala Suryanarayana, who also hails from Srikakulam district, Dharmana has sought an appointment with TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu to join the party.
Earlier, Dharmana was contemplating to join the YSRCP after resigning from Kiran Kumar Reddy cabinet last year following CBI named him one of the accused in Jagan’s assets case.
Suryanarayana said Dharmana wanted to meet the TDP supremo. Meanwhile, another former minister Shatrucharla Vijaya Ramaraju said YSRCP president Jaganmohan Reddy had declined to admit Dharmana and also bluntly turned down request to give him a party ticket to contest the elections.
