A public meeting of Chandrababu Naidu with top BJP brass is on the cards to kickstart the campaign in Andhra Pradesh from Chilakaluripeta on March 17-18. However, many are skeptical about Narendra Modi's presence at this meeting.
Though there is news about Modi's presence in the meet, the sources indicate that only Amit Shah may be part of it, as Modi may not attend due to his own reasons.
Sources from Delhi's PMO suggest that Narendra Modi has not met any other BJP Chief Minister as frequently as he has met YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of YSRCP in the last five years.
In a way, Modi has never considered Jagan Mohan Reddy as his staunch rival to direct his focus towards.
Even though Jagan Mohan Reddy has had complaints about the BJP as a party, he has never openly criticized Narendra Modi on any issue.
According to Delhi gossip, Narendra Modi's schedule does not include a visit to Andhra Pradesh to participate in the alliance meeting, and only Amit Shah would oversee it.
However, the abilities of Chandrababu Naidu should not be underestimated. He has made this alliance possible, which was assumed to be an improbable pursuit all these years. If Chandrababu desires Modi's presence desperately, he has the abilities to bring him into the scene, say TDP sources.
We have to wait and see what unfolds.
