Seven MLAs have quit their parent parties and officially joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi long ago. They also attended the budget session of State Assembly by wearing TRS scarves. But officially, they are still counted as the members of their parent parties.

The Telangana Congress party has removed the names of four MLAs - Vithal Reddy, S Redya Naik, Kanakaiah and K Yadaiah from its official website after they defected to the TRS. It even lodged a complaint seeking their disqualification. But in Assembly, they are still part of Congress Legislature Party.
Similarly, the three rebel MLAs of TDP - Teegala Krishna Reddy, Talasani Srinivas Yadav and C Dharma Reddy were counted as members of Telugu Desam Legislature Party.
The issue of defection of these MLAs was raised multiple times in the House and the Congress even stalled the proceedings a day after Yadaiah joined the TRS.
Since the Speaker is yet to take a decision on the fate of rebel MLAs they participated in the budget session as members of their parent parties.
