Telugu Desam Party senior leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Sunday alleged that efforts were being made to bypass the state assembly on the issue of Telangana.
He said a resolution had been passed in the Assembly when the two regions were merged. But now when one region was being divided, conspiracy was being hatched to bypass the Assembly which would be against the spirit of the constitution and federal system as well as against the recommendations of Sarkaria commission.
The TDP leader reminded that when three states were carved out during the regime of NDA, concerned states had passed the resolutions.
But now the Congress was trying to bypass the state assembly, he said and alleged that YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was part of the conspiracy.
