The Congress party does not need any enemies to run it down. It has enemies within itself, who fight among themselves and expose its chinks. As a result, the party continues to be on the losing side.
It was once again evident from the way former minister and senior Congress leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy attacked Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee president Danam Nagender.
On Thursday, Marri slammed Danam for failing to fight against the TRS government on problems being faced by people in the twin cities.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Marri alleged that the TRS government was hatching conspiracy to remove settlers’ votes from the voters list in the GHMC limits, but Danam Nagender had never took up the issue to protect the interests of the voters.
He lamented that Danam had not even bothered to lodge a complaint with the Election Commission, which was not caring the Congress party.
Stating that the Election Commission has removed 24 percent of votes on pretext that they changed their rented houses, Marri demanded that the Election Commission convene an all-party meeting in this regard.
He also said he would bring to the notice of High Court and Central Election Commission about this.
