Even as the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has made it clear several times that he was totally opposed to the Telangana Bill, the Congress high command seems to have a lot of faith in him in so far as bifurcation is concerned.
AICC Secretary in-charge of Andhra affairs Digvijay Singh on Thursday said the high command would discuss the Telangana bill issue with the Chief Minister.
He told media in New Delhi that the Chief Minister was scheduled to visit Delhi on Friday to meet him (Digvijay) and then he would discuss with the Telangana Bill issue with the Chief Minister.
The high command also wants to take the Chief Minister into confidence in the selection of Rajya Sabha candidates.
Perhaps, it might offer a seat or two to Kiran’s loyalists like R Raghuram Reddy. Sources, however, said Kiran might not accept Delhi’s call for talks.
