Cong Putting Up Brave Front In Seemandhra!

Cong Putting Up Brave Front In Seemandhra!

Despite large scale exodus of leaders from the Congress party into other rival parties following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, some leaders like Panabaka Lakshmi are still putting up brave front.

On Monday, the Union minister said some political leaders in the Congress betrayed it for their selfish ends. She said an action plan was being implemented to strengthen the party in the region.

She said the party MPs had urged the party high command to render justice to the region on account of bifurcation of the State. They had also urged the Centre to give tax exemption and national status to the Polavaram project, she added.

Stating that the Congress was relentlessly striving for the uplift of poor and downtrodden sections from the beginning, Panabaka said her party has implemented the Sub-Plan for the Dalits, which no other party ever thought of.

She also questioned wisdom of some people shouting “Jai Samaikyandhra” even after bifurcation of the State. She also exuded confidence that the Congress would fare well in the ensuing municipal elections.
