It is not just Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy, who will be shifting loyalties from the Congress into the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. According to latest information, Gutha is taking a host of Telangana Congress leaders into the ruling party.
Among the leaders who would be taking a plunge into the TRS are: former MP G Vivek, his brother G Vinod, former Assembly Speaker K R Suresh Reddy, MLA from Nalgonda Bhaskar Rao (who was once personal assistant of K Jana Reddy) and Alampur MLA Sampath Kumar, besides a large number of their followers and local leaders.
Some other senior Congress leaders are in a dilemma as to when and how they should take a jump into the TRS. If they get good bargain, they would do so in the name of “realignment of like-minded political forces.”
The Congress party still has the potential to bounce back cashing in on the failures of the TRS government in the next three years. But these leaders do not seem to have patience to wait till then. Or they don’t have confidence in themselves. That is precisely why they are ready to play second fiddle to KCR!
