Outgoing Endowments Minister C Ramachandraiah on Saturday stated that the BJP played a healthy opposition in Parliament with regard to taking a decision on Telangana Statehood issue.
Though Telugu Desam and YCRCP changed tack in this regard, BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu had done a good job by pressing for equal justice for the successor State, Ramachandraiah said.
He alleged that even the national media had faulted TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for failing to strike a balance with regard to requirements of successor State to rebuild its own capital.
He wondered as to why a leader like Naidu who served as CM for nine years could not have clarity on bifurcation.
Being well aware of the bifurcation, Naidu failed to make positive proposals for Seemandhra region, he said.
Ramachandraiah took serious exception to Naidu for targeting AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi and the Center on bifurcation decision which was taken only after consulting all the stakeholders and parties.
