The Telangana Congress party does not seem to have enough weapons to attack chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
The party remained helpless on Saturday, when the TRS mercilessly hounded the Congress MLAs from out of the House for disrupting the house on defections issue.
Now, the Congress party is trying to emulate the strategy adopted by YSR Congress party in the Andhra Pradesh assembly to expose the defected MLAs.
It is now planning to move a non-confidence motion against the KCR government, just as YSRC did in the Andhra assembly a few months ago.
The strategy is to push the defected MLAs to corner by issuing a whip to vote in favour of the non-confidence motion against the KCR government. This was stated by senior Congress MLA and former minister D K Aruna.
She said if the government continued with the suspension of the MLAs, the Congress party would expose KCR’s true colours in public.
However, in Andhra assembly, the no-confidence motion was lost due to strategic mistake of YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and the Speaker did not allow division of vote, stating that the motion was lost by voice vote.
One won’t be surprised if the KCR government adopts the same strategy of the TDP in defeating the motion, thereby saving the defected MLAs!
