The dinner being hosted by YSR Congress party MP from Narasapuram in West Godavari district K Raghurama Krishnam Raju in New Delhi on December 11 has become a talk of the town in the political circles.
Raju’s invitation says he would be hosting a “farewell get together” on the occasion of completion of successful winter session of Parliament.
However, it is believed that he wanted to host the dinner for being nominated as chairman of Lok Sabha’s subordinate legislation committee.
He has reportedly invited as many as 300 guests for the lavish dinner being held at the residence of his “viyyankudu” (father-in-law of his daughter) K V P Ramachandra Rao at 10, Lodhi Estate in New Delhi.
Raju has not yet been allotted any MP quarters till date and whenever he comes to Delhi, he stays in the residence of KVP, sources said.
The guests include several MPs, besides senior Union ministers and other dignitaries including Lok Sabha Speaker.
He also invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president and Union home minister Amit Shah for the dinner.
Interestingly, Raju specifically mentioned that the menu for the dinner would specially comprise Andhra cuisine. As many as 100 varieties of Andhra delicacies would be served for the guests.
According to sources, Raju is understood to have engaged a special aircraft to transport huge quantities of sea food, including rare variety of fish and prawns from coastal Andhra, particularly from Bhimavaram and Narsapuram areas, along with expert chefs to cook the dishes.
Raju’s dinner is definitely going to be the highlight of the winter session of Parliament!
