CM's Speech Lacks Punch

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s speech in the State Assembly, being delivered in installments, opposing the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, absolutely lacks any punch, according to political observers.

Kiran told media some time ago that what he had told the Congress high command during the core committee and all-party meetings was not even 10 per cent of what he had prepared in support of his stand against bifurcation.

“You are going to see how I present my argument in the Assembly and I am confident even the hardcore Telangana activist would be convinced by my argument,” he said then.

However, when he actually started speaking in the Assembly, he could not present arguments properly and people started feeling there was nothing new in his speech.

“In fact, he fumbled in his speech several times, may be due to his ineffective language skills and also due to frequent interruptions. Since his speech is delivered in three or four spells, he could not convey his message strongly,” an observer said.
